Adrenaline Rush

No not the Blacksmith skill. But what you feel when you're nervous or scared.

This has been what I am feeling lately every morning. You see, sometimes I sleep over at my boyfriend's but need to be back home before my Dad arrives at around 8:30. The problem is my boyfriend always has a problem waking up. We usually leave his house around 7:30. It would have been okay if there was no traffic but no, unfortunately, it's rush hour. I usually arrive just in time, just a couple of minutes ahead of my Dad.

Yesterday was the first time he arrived before me. My heart was pounding. I texted my Mom telling her that I just went out to have breakfast with my boyfriend. The fib sold. And I got away scot free. I don't think I can ever repeat that act though.

I'm really nervous now. It's almost 7 and still my boyfriend has not gotten up. He opens his eyes when I wake him and sometimes wakes up long enough to talk me out of going home telling me that I can excuse myself from work. What about my parents? Tell them that he fetched me early to take care of him because he's sick.

I don't think that that lie would work.
