Automatically updating agit standing/castle watch

If you have been going to this blog for the past few weeks, you would have noticed that I've started doing a Castle Watch for all the servers of Philippine Ragnarok Online. This is no small feat as this should be updated almost everyday. Castle ownership changes every siege day so that means every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. So I am really curious as to how the Windfall Guild website is programmed to automatically update the castle ownership for both servers of the International Ragnarok Online.

My brother who's currently studying an IT course for college said that it is very easy programming. But for me, I think it would be a royal pain as I don't know a thing about programming. I don't even know how to bot. (I ask other people to do it for me haha!)

If anyone playing in pRO can do this, that would be great! But for now, please continue on visiting my blog for agit standings. Hehe.

Armageddon officially retires

The piece I wrote for Armageddon is published in the Level Up website. Check out this link.

Armageddon

Armageddon

Game : Ragnarok

Server: Fenrir

Guildmaster: † Nick †

Current agit/s owned: None

Average member level: 98

Favorite guild hangout: East Kafra Prontera

Allies:
Crimson
Oblivion
Barons
Renegade

Armageddon was originally from Loki but when an opportunity to start over presented itself with the birth of Fenrir, † Nick † decided to migrate together with his loyal friends. Assiduous levelers the original members of this guild are, and † Nick †, like all other guild masters would of course like his to dominate. And so the quest for high leveled avatars ensued which resulted in an alliance with Renegade, a boss hunt rival. With this alliance, the guild was the first to win the title of Server Champions in 2004.

The next year saw the monumental loss of the title in a four way match pitting Armageddon against three allied guilds: Executors, Esteemed House of Crane, and Legends. Licking its wounds, Armageddon planned their revenge.

The guild took back the crown in 2006 with the help of the Cobra Alliance - Crimson, Oblivion, Barons, and Renegade - an alliance which still stands until today.

The road to the 2006 server championship was long and rocky. It saw the division of one guild, the end of friendship for some but in the end, the coal that once was is now a diamond. That year's RPC has revealed the true colors of everyone. It's sad that some resort to rumors to bring down this guild. But Armageddon stands proud: we've overcome them all. Like the pressure and heat needed to transform coal into diamond, all these trials contributed to the betterment of the guild and the alliances that it has forged.

With these titles of 2004 RWC Fenrir Server Champion, 2005 RPC Fenrir Server Finalist, and 2006 RPC Fenrir Server Champion, Armageddon retires. The guild will no longer participate in the next RPC. Armageddon will be succeeded by Immanitas Concepta, a guild born from the Cobra Alliance.

Though already retired, I'm sure I'm not the only one to say this but we'll still be Armageddonians at heart. T_T

BTA All-girl Tournament

We went to the Cavite leg of the Ragnarally. We arrived around 5 and found out that almost all. Only Apocalypse was able to defeat all boss monsters; most other teams were wiped out. More interestingly than that, there was an all-girl exhibition boss time attack match. I believe there were two teams who participated.

I wish LU will organize a real (not exhibition) all-girl BTA tournament...

There are only so few girl gamers who participate in these events. And it's sad that girl gaming prowess is wrongly equated with screaming nervously at every chance they get. I'm sure there are girl gamers out there who are not like this and can beat the hell out of manly men gamers out there if only they were given the chance.

I want chocolates

They say that chocolates are great antidepressants. But they also wreak havoc on your diet. What's a girl to do? Create and eat chocolates in RO. Too bad the NPCs are one week only. I would've created so many chocolates...

Star Linked

So what do you get when your blog is linked to one of the big guys (no pun intended) of LU? You get star linked! Get it? Soul link + starstruck = starlinked!

Still don't get it? It's like this... Oh, nevermind!

This blog is now linked to Waukeen's blog. (Thanks, Waukeen!)

So am I really starstruck?

Nah. :P

My first priestess ++ GaLaDRieL ++

I don't really know what the reason is for my love of clerics but ever since I played one I haven't gotten bored of it. It's actually one of the most difficult jobs one can play in a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG). Maybe I just like the challenge. Or maybe I just find that they're the cutest avatars. ^_~

My first priestess in Ragnarok Online is named ++ GaLaDRieL ++. Actually, she's not the very first character I played but since my very first character didn't even get to see the Hunter guild, I consider her my first. I named her Galadriel after Cate Blanchett's character in the Lord of the Rings. I was looking for an elven name and it struck me as the perfect one because one, she's a queen and two, she's very powerful. I was planning to make a battle priestess so the name was perfect. She has long blond hair just like the movie Galadriel. Too bad there isn't such a thing as long, wavy haired avatars... If there was, it would fit to a cinch.

Until about base level 60, I leveled ++ GaLaDRieL ++ painstakingly, killing hode after hode under the stifling Morroc sun. Patience is key as other players beg me to heal or buff them but since I have limited spirit points or SP, I often cannot do as they wish. I barely even have enough for myself!

When I finally found a guild nice enough to accept me, I found out that being a battle priestess is very unconventional. It was one, if not the most, difficult type of character to level up. I wasn't ready to give up on ++ GaLaDRieL ++ though. I played her until she reached base level 87 before I finally decided to make a real full support priestess.

Reposted from my Friendster blog which I gave up on because it was to slow.

I'm a happy panda XD

Borrowing from May's jargon, I'm a happy panda again. I sure am happy that that ordeal is over. (For me, at least). But I don't want to talk about that ordeal anymore. Past is past!

Now, moving over to other current events!

- I've started working out. The price is a little steep but I'll be making sure that Fitness First deserves every penny of the fees I'll be paying them from my hard earned cash. Mwahaha~ I plan to do at least an hour of cardio each day to burn those fat inducing calories. Hopefully, after a few months time, I'll be able to have my waist back again. If you're one of my friends and you want to support me by working out with me, feel free to contact me.

- I started playing Vietnam RO! Thanks for the installer Ate Ching! Their website and CD sleeve look nice and girly. Have not met many players yet though. I'm still in the Novice Training Grounds at level 30. :P

- BayanTrade, the company I'm currently working for, moved to The Fort. The new office looks great and I save on transportation expenses (it's only two rides away). We have the whole floor to ourselves, wide open spaces with fountains and greenery to boot, and proximity to Serendra and Market Market. The only bad thing is that it's far from where most of my colleagues live. Some have even decided to give up BayanTrade because of this. Very sad.

- Philippine RO's Sakray server is now on the Hugel episode. I tried playing Ninja. It has a great AoE skill but only for the fire element. My character is good for PvM only though as I haven't tried PvP or WoE yet.

And there you go. I can't think of any more news. Sorry if my life's boring you. But then again, why do you keep on reading? :P

Skill Simulator

My favorite skill simulator is not working anymore. My sister and her friend found a website that has a nice skill simulator. Click here to visit the website.

Munting Buhangin Trip

Since our Boracay trip was canceled, we (me, Jeff, Janice, Donald, Kio, Louie, AJ, Magi, Rob, Mike, Ken and his girlfriend) went to Munting Buhangin in Nasugbu, Batangas instead.

We made a sand poring,

a Jepli Tan mask,

and a /gg emoticon.

We went swimming in the middle of the sea. I got a little scared so I wore a life vest (which I removed in a while because it got annoying). I lost my pearl earring when I got out of the life vest. It's easier to float in 10 feet of sea water. ^_^

After the island hopping, Janice was not yet sick of the water so we decided to take another dip. We let ourselves get bashed with the waves along with Magi and Neo. It was fun and we were noisy. We enjoyed ourselves immensely but our bodies ached so much after we did it.

We found a Polo shower gel in the shower rooms. Which was great because I forgot to bring any toiletries. (Only a toothbrush and toothpaste. ><) Going back to our cottage, we found everybody getting ready for the traditional "Balakubak". Everyone was put on the spot except me but when it was Jeff's turn, it felt like I was the one in the hot seat. >_<

After some hotdogs, we finally started the journey home around 8 pm then got hungry again at around 11 so we stopped over at a Cavite tapsihan. Since Taguig and Manila were out of the way and the driver was getting sleepy, Jeff decided to drop everyone off at different points in EDSA except me and Janice and Donald. Soon as we got to Jeff's place, we transferred to the Frontier. I finally got home at 1 am.

All in all, a very tiring trip. But it was well worth it. ^_^

Sad Kitty

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I am a sad kitty today.

The day started innocently enough. I woke up at around 11, drank my usual cup of milky coffee, then took a bath.

I then decided to give a thank you gift to Jeff for being so nice last night. He wanted to have the Noghaltz installer for Ragnarok so that he can install it on his work PC. I have two copies of that installer so it should've been no problem right? Wrong! My sister lent them to someone. Both of them. So there was my quandary. What to do? Maybe I could burn all the contents of our RO folder to a CD. No, impossible. Size is more than 1GB. Hmm... Maybe I can just buy another copy from LU. It's only 15 minutes away from our house anyway if I took a taxi. So off I went to LU. A tricycle ride after, I was in C5 waiting for a cab. Thinking that only 15 minutes had passed I waited and waited and waited. Then I realized that my watch has stopped. >.<;;

Realizing I've waited longer than normal, I decided to wait for a cab in Market Market instead. I took a jeep, alighted a few meters from the mall, and walked to the taxi stand. Lo and behold. A queue of more than 50 people. >.<;;;

Fast forward to two millenia later, I finally arrived at the LU office, got the CDs from Janice. (Thanks sis! ^ 3^) It was already 2:30 and I had a decision to take. Do I go directly to the office or take the CDs to Jeff? If I go directly to the office, I won't be late but getting the CDs today won't mean a thing. If I take the CDs to Jeff my hard work will pay off. Guess what I chose. So Jeff was happy, I was happy. ^_^

I arrived at the office half an hour late. Good thing Nikki decided to work today even if she's still sick *huggles Nikki*. Not really a busy day. Not too many emails and no calls yet like yesterday. Had a Honeywell training which went well (could've been better though). Work interspersed with YM conversations with my friends and of course Jeff. So happy. ^_^

While I was on the training, around 6 PM, Jeff IMed that he'll be going home. I wasn't able to reply because of the training of course. Fully expecting him to be online again at around 7 PM, I was getting a little worried that he still isn't two hours later so I sent him a text message. Two hours after I sent the message, he finally replied. He's still with his boss... of all things, getting drunk. >.<;;;;; So I texted him back asked him to go home so that he'll be able to fetch me from work to which he replied that he will do it. Unfortunately, he changed his mind 20 minutes later. Y_Y

Well... nothing to do then but wait for tomorrow hoping that it'll be happier than today. =^_^= should be my face tomorrow morning. :3

Ragnarok Online + Cats = Ragnamiming

This is the second time someone asked me how to pronounce my blog's name so to clear things up I'm finally posting how.

It is pronounced as written: rag-na-mi-ming. Not rag-na-may-ming.

It's a portmanteau I created using two things I love: Ragnarok Online and Miming.

Ragnarok Online is the first online game I played. It's not the only online game I played though. This blog was created when I went back to playing the game after a three-month long hiatus playing Mu Online. Until now, I'm still addicted with playing the game. Not as addicted as before but I still like playing it. :)

Miming is the most popular name for a pet cat in the Philippines. I love cats. However, I do not have a pet cat right now. I am the only one in my family who prefers cats to dogs. I like dogs as well but not as much as I like cats. <3>

23 on 23

I just turned 23 last Thursday. Thank you for everyone who greeted me on that special day. Some greetings even came before the day. Thanks so much!

The very first one to greet me was Ebet days before the exact date. Then Jeff at 7 pm on the 22nd. Nikki was the first to greet me on the exact date. Liezl greeted me through YM. Unfortunately, Jeff was not able to fetch me, so it was Marl who did. I treated him with coffee. And he gifted me with stories.

On the morning of my birthday, I went to UP to complete my "change of matriculation" (a tedious process to correct the stupidity of enrolling in a subject I thought I haven't yet taken which turned out I already did). I was going to have it signed by the dean but I was told that he wouldn't be there until 11 AM so I just left it there to not waste my time waiting. I went directly to Jeff's house to sleep.

I planned to spend my birthday as if it's no special than regular days but it was not meant to be.
We went to Tagaytay to celebrate, ate (thank you for the treat!) and had coffee. It was there that I completed the Starbucks stickers needed to claim the planner. Happy day!

(I will insert picture of planner here when I get the chance. XD)

Too bad I don't have a camera. I don't have any pictures to show for it. Only measly receipts from Carlo's Pizza and Starbucks. Jeff, Kio, Klip, thanks for the fun!

(I will insert picture of receipt here when I get the chance. XD)

I arrived late for work on Friday as I was determined to finish the change of matriculation process. Thank God that's done. Birthday greetings continued that day moreso because it was the day of the monthly company meeting. I was called on in the meeting and was greeted on the loudspeaker. It was so embarrassing! ._. But anyway, there was food and cake and though I know it was not especially for me it was FREE! XD

Birthday celebrations continued Saturday after my MA class (good thing my classmates didn't know I just celebrated my birthday). This time we celebrated with Janice, Donald, Ced, Kio (again), Magi, and AJ. We were planning to watch Casino Royale but the cinemas were already closed when we got there. So instead, we just ate at Max's to our heart's content then drank coffee (this time to complete the second round of stickers for Jeff XD) beside the bay. Rob unfortunately arrived late and was only able to catch us at that time (I think he ate some of the leftovers XD). We talked rowdily until around two.

Sunday was family day. I treated them to a KFC bucket meal because the Happy Feet tumblers were so cute. XD Then we all had coffee after. Jeff fetched me to drop off Magi and AJ in Bulacan. We ate chicken and Mulawin pan de sal and watched the really weird Willy Wonka movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. (Nope, didn't like it.)

Today, no more birthday celebrations but it's not over yet as Laurence (an officemate) and I decided to celebrate our birthdays together (his birthday's tomorrow). Why? To split the bill of course! XD

All you can stomachache

We just got from an all you can eat breakfast buffet. Or should I say, all your stomach can take.

Now, I have a stomachache.

My boyfriend is an action star

Just got home from MoA. As usual tambay with some RO friends (i.e. my boyfriend Jeff, Janjan, Louie, Argh, CJ, Aya). But before that peaceful uhmm sojourn, Jeff packed in an action packed day. (Oohh, sounds incorrect. But it sounds cool. So there. XD)

Jeff's father/family runs a junk shop business. Believe it or not, they got rich from it. Makes sense though: Buy something for almost nothing and then export it for more than double what you got for it. As they say, one man's junk is another one's treasure. Well, their business is a big time junk shop where they look for deals with big companies like Jollibee, or even the government. They bid for these companies' scrap. Anyway, you get the picture.

Today, they were raided out of the blue by the police.

Looks like something straight out from an action movie, right? XD

The police accused them of robbing wires from Meralco. They confiscated a truck full of that stuff and carted it off to Camp Karingal. Of course, the accusation is just that, an accusation. So off my boyfriend went to get the situation blottered (Is that even a verb?). I'm not sure what happens in a blottering process though so... sorry! Unfortunately, all this happened without me on the front row. My boyfriend was afraid of something violent happening so he left me to wait for him in his room. (Oh, how sweet... <3)

After having the situation blottered, he came back for me and decided to take me with him to Camp Karingal to talk with he police about what had happened and explain their side of the story. When we got there, he decided again to leave me out of anything for fear of anything bad happening. So I stayed in the car and waited. Almost an hour went by fleetingly fast. The arresting officers and the investigator ran out of excuses and ran out of the building as well. Heck. Talk about stupid.

Doesn't sound that big? Well, add to what happened today with the two lawsuits filed against him and you'll get the picture.

LU! Live 2006

Subtitle: Huli man daw at magaling... Huli pa rin.

I’m here talking to Marl about my inability to update my blog. I checked when I last updated. October 18. Humnnn… Today’s only the 9th of November, not yet one month from my last post so I guess it’s still okay.

Actually, I have prepared a three page entry about LU! Live. I wrote it on paper. I lost the paper. So, I guess I have to compose something about it again.

LU! Live was a blast! I loved that our booth which I spearheaded won as Best Ragnarok booth. Here’s some pictures from the LU! Website.

And here are some from Peejay’s camera:

Humn… What else about LU! Live? Ah I know! Armageddon lost. Sobness. But we’re over that now.

Oh, and I have lots of headgears now.

More updates about other stuff that happened tomorrow. (If I get around to doing it…)
